I recently read that according to the Center for Disease Control, about half of all adult Americans live with one or more chronic health conditions. Add to that the people that love them and experience their own struggles as they try to help their loved ones cope with their illness and you’ve got a whole lot of people that need hope. And as wonderful as the constant advancements in modern medicine may be, they can never offer the hope that can only found in Jesus Christ.

Over the years I have experienced my own struggles with chronic conditions as well as watched my loved ones struggle with their’s. I have found incomparable hope on the Word of God, and when ever I feel despair or defeat start to rear its ugly head – I know it’s because I have begun to focus on my circumstances and have taken my eyes off of Jesus. It is then that I run back to my Savior and he refreshes my soul.

My hope is that this blog will grow into a tool that will inform people, help them to see that they are not alone and most of all help them to keep their focus on Jesus, no matter what their current circumstances may be.

…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – ‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‬‬
